A – apartment move

The most common type of move is apartment move. Lots of customers might even think that moving apartments is more simple than moving a house, but it is not. There are lots of things you have to organize when it comes to your apartment move. 

B – blankets

Moving blankets are used to protect your bigger items during the move. Your professional movers should wrap up everything with plastic wrap and moving blankets to ensure nothing gets damaged or scratched during your local move.

C – Certificate of Insurance

Most of the clients are not even aware they need Certificate of Insurance for their local move. If you are moving from an apartment building, check with your building management if they require your moving company to send COI, how it’s shortly called. 

D – dollies

Moving dollies are used to relocate your heavy items and appliances in order to make it more simple and easier. Not to mention how safer it is to use moving dollies to transport your furniture.

E – elevator reservation

One more thing that concerns the clients that are moving from or to the apartment building. Sometimes your building might require you to reserve the elevator for your move. It can make your moving process easier and more time efficient if you don’t have to share your elevator with the other residents of your building. 

F – flat rate

Some moving companies might offer you the flat rate for your move. In this case, you will get just one rate for the full service, unlike the companies that are offering hourly rates. Flat rates are more common for long distance and cross country moves than for local types of service.

H – hourly rate

Hourly rates are more common when it comes to your local move. Don’t forget to check with your local movers what is included in your rate, how many hours of minimum they charge etc.

I – insurance

Every licenced and professional moving company you hire is insured. Moving insurance will offer you additional peace of mind during the move. Not only you will feel safer, but in case something gets damaged your moving company will be liable for the damage that was made.

L – labor job 

Any service that doesn’t require moving a truck, but just the manpower is considered a labor job. If you need help with loading, unloading, swapping furniture in your home or moving within the same building, that is a labor job.

M – moving boxes

Moving boxes are needed whether you decide to pack by yourself or to be backed by your local movers and packers. You should always get quality packing material, because that way your smaller items will be extra protected during your local move.

O – office move

Local movers can perform the commercial move for you as well. Any professional and experienced moving company will help you with moving your business. 

P – packers and movers

Some clients prefer if the local movers are helping them with packing as well. It is known as a full pack service and your local packers will take care of all of your smaller items for you.

R – residential move

Residential movers are regular home moves, it is the service that is mostly performed by the moving company. If you are in need to move your apartment, house or storage unit, that is considered by residential move.

S – storage move

If your homes are not closing at the same time, you will need to have a storage unit. Your local movers can move you in or out of the storage unit in no time. This is quite common in the moving industry, so your movers are professional and trained to perform the storage move for you.

T – truck

Moving trucks is mandatory when it comes to regular household or office moves. If your local movers are professional, moving trucks will be included in the price they provided you with.

W – wardrobe boxes

Wardrobe boxes are used to help you relocate your hanging clothes. Moving companies are usually offering wardrobe boxes as a part of their standard service. Each wardrobe box can fit around 20-25 hangers.
